How to Check your TR71A/72A Firmware Version

T&D WebStorage Service

  1. From the [Devices] menu, open the settings window by clicking the [Settings] button for the desired device.
  2. Read off the "Firmware" version next to the "Serial Number" located at the top of the window.

PC

  1. Open T&D software "TR7 for Windows" and connect your device via USB to the computer.
  2. Read off the "Firmware Version" value located at the lower left on the screen.


Firmware Update Procedure

  • All recorded data will be deleted by updating the firmware. Please make sure to download all necessary data before update.
  • The firmware update requires a USB connection between a device and a PC.
  1. Connect the device via USB to the computer.
  2. Open the downloaded "TR71A/72A Firmware Update Tool".
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.

If the update completes successfully, the new firmware version will be displayed as AXXX (XXX represents the version number) at the bottom of the LCD screen when the power is turned on.

  • Some operations of the battery level warning have been revised.
    - Revised battery warning recovery criteria to avoid sending low battery warnings repeatedly.
    - Changed the state of battery warning sent when a low battery recovery has occurred from 1 (normal) to 81 (recovery to normal).
    - Changed the specifications for sending any untransmitted battery warnings when low battery recovery has occurred.
  • Added functionality to send the state of Warning Lifted (state:82) when the warning settings have been changed, the recording has been started, or the device has been reset while in a warning state.
  • Functionality was added whereby if upon recovery from a sensor error, an upper/lower limit warning is still active, the status (state:83) will be sent.
  • When sending data via a proxy server, the connection is now made using a host name instead of an IP address. (White list compatible)
  • Previously command processing was aborted when the response from an HTTP server was R=0 (command rejected). Processing has now been modified so that a request is issued for the command specified by the flag contained in the response.
  • Fixed a problem that occurred when the auto-upload interval was set to 24 hours, where recorded data was being sent every 5 hours and 50 minutes.
  • The measured values displayed in warning e-mails have been changed from the “instantaneous values” at the time of warning judgment to the “max/min values” during the specified judgment time.
  • Sensor error information was added to Bluetooth advertisement packets.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when resending multiple warning data after transmission failures (due to low battery, etc.), where the battery status at the time of successful transmission was reported instead of the battery status at the time of the warning.

  • Fixed a problem where the port 80 was always used as the connection destination when using a proxy server, instead of the specified port number.

  • Fixed a problem where the time of the first data could be recorded incorrectly in the following situation: You start the recording after changing the recording interval with the buttons on the logger, and keep pressing the REC/STOP button after the REC icon appears on the LCD.

  • Fixed a problem that occurred when setting the device clock to "Synchronize with SNTP Server", where the synchronization failed in rare cases and caused incorrect timestamp calculations.

  • Changed the message to be displayed on the LCD when the battery voltage is low from [dEAd bAtt] to [Lo bAtt].
  • When passcode lock is enabled and you enter the wrong passcode three times in a row, the lock cannot be disabled for one minute now.

  • Changed the specification for low battery warning, so that the device will recover from the warning state even if the replacement batteries are slightly depleted, rather than having to replace with brand new ones.
  • Fixed an issue with the battery warning being resent incorrectly.
  • When converting temperatures from Celsius to Fahrenheit, “floor truncation” is now used to process decimals.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the auto upload of recorded data not to work properly when you connect and then disconnect a USB cable within 30 seconds while the device display was off due to dead batteries.
  • Fixed a problem that occurred when you cancel the wireless LAN communication by pressing the power button on the device, where a user settings change to the data destination was not allowed until after the next automatic transmission had occurred.
  • Added support for "T&D Data Server".

  • Fixed a problem that occurred when warning settings for both channel 1 and 2 were enabled, where warning monitoring and transmission for channel 1 would stop after the first warning on channel 1.

  • Fixed a problem that occurred when changes were made to the TR71A/72A/72A-S recording interval and/or recording mode from T&D WebStorage Service - Device Settings, the device stopped recording and the settings were not applied.
  • Improved auto adjustment of the internal clock.
  • Corrected the TR72A/72A-S Vaccine Mode default setting from enabled to disabled. (TR71A is not included.)
