Notice about App Crash When Updating from T&D Thermo Ver. 2.71 or Earlier (iOS Version)
We have confirmed that in the iOS version of the T&D Thermo smartphone app, updating from version 2.71 or earlier(*) will cause the app to stop functioning properly.
(*) Applies to users who have not updated the app since May 22, 2024.
Please see the details below.
Details of the Issue
After updating from the affected version, the app will crash upon launch and fail to start properly.
Because of this problem, it is necessary to delete and reinstall the app.
This issue occurs because the internal database library used in the app no longer supports upgrades from older database versions, and unfortunately, we anticipate that resolving this issue will be difficult going forward.
If you are using an affected version, please review the following precautions and prepare accordingly before updating the app.
Important Notes
Deleting the app will erase the following information:
- Registered device information
- Recorded data stored in the app
- [Warning Notification] setting in [App Settings]
- Registered T&D WebStorage Service account information in [Account Management]
Preparing for the Update
If you plan to update from an affected version, please take the following actions as necessary.
Save Recorded Data to Another Location
Please save your recorded data externally by sending via email, sharing with another app, or uploading to T&D WebStorage Service.

Check Device Information (Serial Number / Registration Code / Bluetooth Passcode)
To register devices to the app again, you will need the serial number and registration code, which can be found on the registration code label provided with the device.
When [Bluetooth Lock] is enabled, you may also be required to enter the passcode when connecting via Bluetooth.
If You Have Lost the Registration Code Label
- You can check the registration code in the Device Settings Table in the app.
- For TR4A/TR4/TR32B, the label is also attached inside the battery cover.
- For TR7A2/A/wb, the device information can also be checked in the "TR7 for Windows" software by connecting the device to a PC via USB.
If You Have Forgotten the Bluetooth Passcode
- For TR4A and TR32B, the passcode can be reset during communication if the device is on hand.
- For TR7A2/A/wb, connect the device to a PC via USB and reset the passcode from the Bluetooth Settings menu in "TR7 for Windows".
