How to Check your RTR-601/602 Firmware Version
Check your firmware version by turning on the RTR-601/602, and from the top screen go to [Main Menu] - [Remote Info].
Firmware Update Procedure
- The RTR-601/602 firmware update cannot be carried out via network.
- Make sure the RTR-601/602 is fully charged before update. If battery level is low, update may fail.
- All recorded data will be deleted by updating the firmware. Please make sure to download all necessary data before update.
- Also, the clock of the device will be reset to default by updating the firmware. Please make the clock settings again by using the software "RTR-600 Settings Utility". (See "RTR500BW + RTR-600 Setup Guide".)
- Before executing the RTR-601/602 Firmware Update Tool, please make the following preparations:
・Exit all T&D applications (such as the Settings Utility) running on your computer. ・Connect the Battery Charge Dock to the PC with a USB cable, and place the RTR-601/602 into the right side of the dock. (Do not connect an AC adaptor.)Before connecting a USB cable, make sure that the PC has the USB device driver installed. (By installing the application "RTR-600 Settings Utility (US)", the USB device driver will also be installed.)
- Execute the downloaded "RTR-601/602 Firmware Update Tool".
- Please follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.
・During the update process, the following messages will appear on the RTR-601/602 LCD in the following order: [TEST MODE] - [Flash MODE] - [Program update].
・When the firmware is updated successfully, after the auto reset [Ver:LXXX] will appear on the RTR-601/602 LCD.
・If the update fails, go back to step 1 and repeat the process.
