RTR-5W Software Update Info (Ver. 1.70 to 1.71)
In order to update some functions in our Network-Dedicated Wireless Base Station RTR-5W, we have released update programs for the software.
We ask that our customers using this software download these programs and update as directed.
Affected Products
RTR-5W for Windows (ver.1.70 and below)
New Functions in Ver. 1.71
- A function was added whereby the standard periodic processes can be temporarily halted.
In order to gather warning and other info that is stored at each location, the “RTR-5W for Windows” software periodically caries out communication with each location. If there are a large number of Locations, the amount of time it will take to process these communications will take quite some time. It is however possible to temporarily halt the periodic communications in order to carry out setting changes or other processes.
If one of the versions of either the software "RTR-5W for Windows" or the "RTR-5W Firmware / Script" is different from the other, the product will not function properly. Note that if you are using an earlier version, it is necessary to update the RTR-5W firmware and script to the latest version (Firmware: Ver. 02.00.00 / Script: Ver. 1.70).
How to Update
Follow the instructions as noted below for updating the "RTR-5W for Windows" Software and the "RTR-5W Firmware / Script".
If one of the versions of either the software "RTR-5W for Windows" or the "RTR-5W Firmware / Script" is different from the other, the product will not function properly. When carrying out the update please confirm that the versions of all three parts (software, firmware, script) have been updated to the latest version for each.
Versions after updates should be as follows:
Software "RTR-5W for Windows" should be 1.71
Firmware should be 02.00.00
Script should be 1.70
