The circuitry in the device has been designed to withstand the effects of changes in the surrounding environment and changes in electrical properties; therefore the precision of the measurements does not degrade over time.
Although the sensor element of the temperature sensor does not experience loss of precision due to use over time, due to external factors, such as build up of water, losses in precision will occur.
If you find that measurements are becoming less and less precise, we suggest changing the sensor.
Humidity sensors will also lose precision due to water and dust buildup.
